Invite to the museum of contemporary art in chicago
Note: Added. Oct. 27, 2008. I forgot to mention, but Art Direction, Rick Valicenti, 3st of Chicago.
They are great artists!
Rick asked me if I would want to do the lettering work for the invite to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago with my lettering style. After finishing up my first initial sketches, I quickly learned that the word “vertical” Rick meant in his email was the orientation of the invitation card, not for the artist’s last names… So I made another sketch with the words horizontal with the vertical format in mind and finished tracing this piece. At this point, Rick’s clients are not sure about the artists yet, so we have to wait if this work can be employed. If this project does happen, it will be laser cut as you see on the business card in the picture.
